Let Them Grow Wild

With bare feet on the sand, salt on their skin, and space to move, create, and make sense of the world through real experience. The strongest foundations aren’t built indoors. They’re built in nature through sensory play, open-ended discovery, and connection to something much bigger than ourselves.

At Peggy & The Sea, we create slow, ocean-led programs for children and families who know that development doesn’t happen best in front of a screen, but outside in rhythm with the natural world.

Each session is designed with care. We offer small groups, nature-based materials, gentle movement, and plenty of room for curiosity. Whether your child is just beginning to explore or already knee-deep in the wild years, this is a place where they’re free to lead, and where you’re invited to slow down alongside them.

Three Evidence-Backed Benefits of Ocean Exposure for Kids

Boosted Mental Health & Stress Reduction

A global review of 35 studies found a consistent positive association between greater exposure to blue spaces (including oceans) and improved mental health and psychological well-being among young people. (1)

Increased Physical Activity

The same synthesis reported that children with regular access to coastal environments tend to achieve higher levels of physical activity—helping to build cardiovascular health and muscle strength. (2)

Immediate Mood & Vitality Gains

A field study in Barcelona demonstrated that even a brief walk along a beach led to measurable improvements in children’s mood, feelings of vitality, and overall mental health immediately afterwards. (3)
